Stainless steel is one of the most difficult ferrous materials to cut in metal fabrication. Its inherent characteristics, including low thermal conductivity, strong work-hardening tendency and built-up edge formation, often lead to rapid tooth wear, chipping, poor surface finish and shortened blade service life. Conventional uncoated saw blades or standard TiN/TiCN coated blades struggle to maintain stable performance when processing 303, 304, 316, 304L, 316L stainless steel, high-speed steel and high-temperature alloy round bars. This circular saw blade adopts premium carbide cutting tips paired with high-quality alloy tool steel substrate. The advanced PVD nano composite coating creates a low-friction, high-hardness protective layer on the tooth surface. It effectively reduces friction between the cutting edge and workpiece, prevents chips from welding onto the cutting edge, and improves wear resistance and thermal stability. Compared with ordinary coated saw blades, the U+ coating can greatly extend blade life while retaining high cutting precision. First, the cutting speed should be kept within 55–65 m/min. Operating above 80 m/min will generate excessive heat at the cutting edge, accelerate coating ablation and drastically shorten blade life. The spindle RPM is determined by the saw blade diameter. For a 285 mm blade, the recommended RPM range is 61–73; for a 460 mm blade, keep RPM between 38–45. Second, the recommended feed per tooth is 0.035–0.05 mm. Feed rate cannot be set too high or too low. Excessive feed will cause tooth chipping, while insufficient feed will produce rubbing heat and trigger serious work hardening on the workpiece surface. Third, dedicated stainless steel cutting oil is mandatory. Ordinary engine oil or vegetable oil cannot provide sufficient lubrication and cooling, and may reduce blade life by more than 90%. Fourth, the chip removal wire brush requires regular inspection and replacement. Replace the brush once it wears down to half its original thickness. Install the brush so it penetrates 2–3 mm into the saw blade gullet to remove adhered chips thoroughly.
