Materials & Technical Specifications

Tooth Tip Material:

Tooth Tip Material: Sub-micron grain tungsten carbide (WC-Co) selected for impact resistance and hot-hardness up to 800°C.

Backing Strip:

High-alloy spring steel (DIN 1.2235 / AISI 6150 equivalent) featuring high tensile strength and fatigue endurance limit to withstand continuous bending stress over heavy wheel diameters.

Welding Technology:

Automated flash-butt welding followed by thermal stress relief annealing, ensuring tensile strength at the weld joint reaches minimum 95% of the base material.

Selecting the correct blade specification impacts cutting cost-per-cut and tool life. Use these operational parameters:

Material Hardness & Composition:

Use multi-chip ground profiles (variable positive rake angles) for austenitic stainless steels and high-nickel alloys to reduce cutting forces.

Workpiece Geometry:

Solid rounds/blocks: Choose variable pitch (2/3 or 3/4 TPI) to suppress harmonic vibrations during heavy cross-section cuts.
Thin-walled tubes/profiles: Choose fine pitch (6/10 or 8/12 TPI) to maintain a minimum of 3 teeth engaged in the cut simultaneously.
Band Saw Machine Compatibility: Verify machine guide roller pressure, hydraulic tensioning capability (>250 N/sq.mm), and coolant delivery rate (minimum 8% emulsion concentration).

Quality Control & Inspection

Manufacturing consistency is verified through metrological controls prior to packaging:
Metallurgical Analysis: Micro-hardness testing (HV30) on carbide tips and backing strip tensile strength verification.
Dimensional Inspection: Optical profile projection for tooth geometry, set consistency, and pitch uniformity.
Weld Integrity Testing: 100% mechanical pull-testing and deflection checks on welded loop joints to prevent joint separation under operational tension.

Wholesale & Bulk Ordering

Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ):
Custom Welded Loops: 10 pieces per specification.
Master Coils: 5 coils per SKU.
Packaging: Individual anti-corrosion VCI paper wrapping, packed in reinforced corrugated cardboard boxes or wooden crates for international pallet freight.
Lead Time: Standard production runs ship within 12 to 18 business days. Stock items dispatch within 48 hours.

FAQ

Q: How do carbide band saw blades differ from bi-metal blades?

A: Carbide blades feature tungsten carbide tips brazed/welded to the teeth, offering higher wear resistance on abrasive or high-alloy materials compared to M42/M51 bi-metal blades, enabling higher cutting speeds under appropriate parameters.

Q: What causes premature tooth chipping in hard metal cutting?

A: Common causes include excessive feed rate during initial entry, incorrect tooth pitch for thin sections, or insufficient machine hydraulic tension. Refer to our feed-rate chart or contact engineering support.

Q: Can you supply custom lengths for non-standard saw machines?

A: Yes. We weld custom endless loops to any specified millimeter length upon request.
