The cutting performance, toughness and wear resistance of HSS circular saw blades are determined by heat treatment, which distinguishes high-quality industrial saw blades from ordinary ones.
For M2 & M35 HSS substrates, the standard process includes quenching and triple high temperature tempering. Quenching temperature is kept at 1180~1220℃ for oil cooling to retain hard carbides. Triple tempering eliminates internal quenching stress to balance hardness and toughness, reaching stable hardness of 62-68HRC.
Blades with unqualified heat treatment have two major defects: low hardness leads to rapid abrasion and tooth chipping during cutting; insufficient tempering causes stress deformation at high speed, resulting in cracks on noise damping slits. After heat treatment, dynamic balance calibration and precision slit processing are carried out. Our finished blades are widely used for mass cutting of stainless steel, die steel and alloy bars, exported to metal processing factories worldwide.
